OUR STORY
There is no task too big for this trio of owners. We’ve spent countless hours getting the property ready with our clients at the top of mind. Sisters, Rachelle and Danielle have aspired to be venue owners since they were young and spent their careers in the hospitality industry preparing for this journey. Newly married Danielle and Andrew have an entrepreneurial spirit like no other. Building off of each other and continuously thinking of new ways to generate their own income. Combined with Andrew’s years of management experience, this team is eager to meet you and work to turn your dream event to a reality.
Construction began in May of 2021 with the goal of creating a spacious, high-end rural event venue. The majority of construction was completed by the owners with help from countless friends and family members and continued through the first half of 2022. After numerous indoor and outdoor improvement projects, along with the addition of our guest parking lot, Northern Oaks is officially open for business and ready to begin working with clients and offering event space to the public.
Barb and Dan Kirchner (pictured to the left), Danielle and Rachelle's parents, built their dream log home for their family of six in 2000. Two short years later, Dan lost his life in a work related accident leaving Barb to manage the home, run the business and raise their four kids.
After many successful years of keeping the family healthy and property maintained, the decision was made for Barb to downsize. To hold this very special place in our hearts, Northern Oaks Events was born.

Rachelle Kirchner
Chief Operating Officer
Rachelle graduated from the College of Saint Benedict/St. John's University in 2009 with a BA in Business Management and Psychology. She has over 10 years of experience in the event industry and operates as the Chief Operating Officer for Northern Oaks Events.
Danielle Mauren
Chief Financial Officer
Danielle graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2016 with a BA in Business Management & Communications. She has over 6 years of experience in the event industry and operates as the Chief Financial Officer for Northern Oaks Events.
Andrew Mauren
Chief Strategy Officer
Andrew graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2015 with a BS in Kinesiology. Andrew has over 5 years of experience in Business Management and operates as the Chief Strategy Officer for Northern Oaks Events.
